Mr. Roeder's practice has focused exclusively on immigration and nationality law since 1997, with particular emphasis on employment-based matters. Mr. Roeder represents start-up and multinational clients before the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Labor, and Department of State in securing temporary visas and permanent residence for their employees. He is also experienced in preparing employment-based petitions for foreign workers in the outstanding researcher and extraordinary ability categories.
From 1997 through 1999, Mr. Roeder served as an Associate with Flynn and Clark PC in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 1999, Mr. Roeder relocated to the San Francisco office of Cooley Godward LLP. Mr. Roeder left Cooley Godward as a Senior Associate in 2003 and joined Tafapolsky & Smith LLP.
Mr. Roeder received his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1996. He graduated from Brandeis University, cum laude, with a Bachelor's degree in Politics and minor in Spanish Language and Literature. Mr. Roeder has researched and edited articles for the American Immigration Lawyers Association Monthly Mailing. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Roeder was an English teacher in Madrid, Spain and in Boston.
Mr. Roeder is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
